William B. Macpherson Obituary
Passed peacefully on Friday August 25, 2023 at the age of 78. He is survived by his sons James, John and Michael (Tara), his two grandchildren Wyatt and Garrett, and his son John's girlfriend Teri McDowell. William is also survived by his sister Beverly (David) Reszel, along with other family and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Marlene and his parents Carroll and Gladys Macpherson.
William was born April 3, 1945 in Milwaukee Wisconsin and lived in the Milwaukee area his entire life. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1964. William served in the U.S. Navy as a Machinist Mate on the U.S.S. Ranger from 1969 to 1973. William also worked at Briggs and Stratton for 41 productive years in various roles manufacturing small and large lawnmower engines.
William was married to Marlene for 46 wonderful years. In his free time, William enjoyed playing golf, bowling, traveling around the country, and attending Broadway shows at the PAC, Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra concerts, and shows at the Fireside Theatre. Most of all, William enjoyed being the number one grandfather.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 4PM until the time of the Funeral Service at 7PM at the Funeral Home. Entombment with Military Honors will be on Wednesday, September 6, at 11 AM at Valhalla Memorial Park, 5402 N. 91st St. Please meet at the cemetery office.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra or the Honor Flight would be greatly appreciated.
