Robert leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robert’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Robert will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Ben" Barneson and Lillian Barneson (Stuber); and his brothers, Jim and Gary. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Barneson (Beckwith); his children, Julie Meyer (Tom) of Seeley, WI and John Barneson (Annie Klessig); his grandson Jack Barneson of St Paul, MN; his sister Barbara Knutson; and his sister-in-law Diane Barneson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Calvary Lutheran Church (675 Shell Creek Rd, Minong, WI 54859).
