He is survived by: his wife Kathi; his sister Kate; his daughter Heather (Jay Ford); his grandchildren, Mason and Harper Gunagan; his sons, Zachary Byrne and Logan Powers Byrne (Joy); and his nieces and nephews, Tara Repplier (Chris), Alexandra, Ryan McKnight (Kelly), Ava, Cortney Lieberg (Shane) and Riley.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Victor's Catholic Church of Christ. A rosary will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 10:45 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
