David R. Meier Obituary

We announce the death of David R. Meier of Monroe, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 3, 2026, at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Meier and Alma Meier (Hale); his stepfather Tommy Peterson; his in-laws, Glenn and Loretta Beckman; his siblings, Delbert Meier, Arlene Simmons, Donald Meier and Robert Sweeney; and his siblings-in-law, Dave Matley, Jack Simmons, Gary Broege, James Beckman, Jon Martin and Glenda Beckman.

He is survived by: his wife Peggy Meier; his children, Todd Meier (Carmen) and Heather Stephens (Jason); his grandchildren, Kaylynne Caffey, Brady, Keeley and Mackenzie Stephens; his great grandchild Knoxley Caffey; his stepgrandson Nathaniel Schneider (Mara); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Kieran, Axel, Evander and Maverick Schneider; his siblings, Joan Chapin (Kenneth), Judy Matley, Richard Meier (Renne), Linda Matley (Jim) and Nancy Broege; his in-laws, Fred Beckman (Margaret), Helen Martin, Ted Beckman, Ed Beckman (Lynn), Harry Beckman (Kellie) and Jerry Beckman (Paula); and his close friends, Eric, Kathy, Matt Watters and JoAnn Czjaka. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1907 29th Ave, Monroe, WI 53566).
