She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, William Pingel and Martha Pingel; her sisters, Arline Rosemeyer and Jean Tenner (Dale); her daughters, Sharon Rethmeyer (Doug), Karen Engelien, Sue Mahlum (Dan), Mary Leithold (Paul) and Cindy Johnson (Todd); her stepdaughter Rae Lynn Mielke; her grandchildren, Bryan Greig, Brady Greig (Jillian), Kyle Greig (Emilee), Amanda Engelien, Emily Hildreth (Keaton), David Mahlum (Katie), Josh Mahlum (Valerie), Hannah Mahlum, Steven Leithold, Tessa Leithold, Taylor Gilbert (Rick), Madison Blomquist (Bjorn), Chloe Leithold, Faith Leithold, Mackenzie Baer (Landon), Alex Johnson (Katelyn) and Ethan Johnson; her husband William Niebling (Bill); her former life partner Robert Engelien; and her granddaughter Lauren. She was also cherished by her great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her wonderful neighbors.

In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Terrace Shores Evangelical Free Church.
