She was predeceased by: her parents, John Machulsky and Mary Machulsky (Skoviak); her husband Robert Hughes; and her sisters, Dorothy, Hattie, Connie, LaVerne and Betty.

She is survived by: her sons, David (Karen) of Hancock, Thomas (Jan) of Waterford, Kenneth (Linda) of Sorasota, FL and Patrick (Rhonda) of Montello. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
