She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Groom and Eileen Groom; her siblings, Kermit Groom and Trudy Groom; her mother-in-law Elaine Barton; and her brothers-in-law, Rich Messling, Paul Messling II and Ron Alexander.
She is survived by: her husband Russ Messling; her children, RJ Messling (Carron Schulz) and Pam Schwab (Wes); her grandchildren, Quinn, Logan, Duncan and Leena Schwab; her siblings, Mike Groom (Audrey), Beth Hemmersbach (Jerry), Larry Groom (Edna), Mary Jones (Tim) and Monica Alexander; and her grandchildren, Oldenburg (Jim), Tom Barton (Kendelle) and Terri Messling. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
