It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Sylvester Smerda of Mosinee, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smerda and Hilder Smerda (Sparby); his grandson Nicholas Mehlberg; and his sister Beverly Steffen. He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Shebelski; his children, Greg Smerda (Gretchen) and Julie Mehlberg (Brian); his grandchildren, Erin Mehlberg, Brody, Bennett Smerda and Jamie Kazmierczak; his brother Robert Smerda (Susan); and his brother-in-law Leroy Steffen.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be given to St Paul Catholic Church in Mosinee or Good News Project Inc in Wausau.
