We are sad to announce that, on January 9, 2026, at the age of 82, Elmer H. Steffes of Mount Calvary, Wisconsin passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Steffes and Virginia Steffes (Engel); his wife Elizabeth Johnson (Betty) of Patrick's Catholic Church; his parents-in-law, Marguerite and Clifford Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, James Johnson, James Haase, Gerald Karls, Janice Johnson and Diane Haase.
He is survived by: his children, Dan Steffes (Jill) of Mount Calvary, Kathy Loppnow (Jeff) of Florida, Karen Faris of Fond du Lac, Kris Schneider (Kevin) of Malone, Kim Donohue (Tom) of Monroe, Amy Laufer (Aharon) of Virginia, Gary Steffes (Diane) of Nevada and Thomas Steffes (Laura) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Ryan, Alex, Eric Steffes, Jordan, Josh, Jacob Loppnow, Jade Luchs, Kayla, Matthew, Shelly, Johnny, Paulie, Kateri Faris, Brad, Kelsey Schneider, Laura Bergum, Maggie Donohue, Hannah, Adam, Henry Laufer and Nicolas Steffes; and his sisters, Lorraine Karls of Charlesburg, Marie Ausloos (Jim) of Mosinee, Ceil Schaefer (Joe) of Malone, Annie Schmitz (John) of Fond du Lac, Judy Reising (Joseph) of Minnesota and Dr. Jeanne Hart-Steffes (Dory) of New York. He is also survived by 15 great-grand-children.
