He was predeceased by: his parents, Edson Stubbs and Jessie Stubbs (Scherer); his in-laws, Helen Supple (Fred), Robert Stubbs (Bertyl) and Lois Hobbs (John); and his parents-in-law, Helen Eickhoff Immel (Gyr) and Wilton Eickhoff.

He is survived by: his wife Georgene Stubbs (Eickhoff); his children, Matthew Stubbs (Holly) and Michelle Soper (Stubbs); his grandchildren, Samantha Stubbs Wirtz (Adam), Joshua Stubbs, Daniel Stubbs (Sofia) and Shannon Stubbs (Adam Acosta); his great grandchildren, Javier Stubbs, Harper Stubbs, Marco Stubbs and Leopaldo Stubbs; and his brothers-in-law, Phillip Eickhoff (Rosie), William Eickhoff (Chris) and Lynn Immel (Jackie).

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Luther Memorial Church or the SSM Hospice House of Hope Fond du Lac.
