He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Brenner and Berthilda "Bertie" Brenner (Kolbe); his parents-in-law, Robert and Angeline Hephner; and his sister-in-law Connie Petermann.
He is survived by: his wife Cathleen "Cathy" Hephner; his children, Kelly Brenner (David), Steve Brenner of Mount Calvary and Maria Berenz (Tyler) of St. Cloud; his granddaughters, Lyanna and Natalie; his stepgrandchildren, Ava and Griffin; and his siblings, Rose Klapperich (Stan) of St. Cloud, Joseph Brenner (Joan) of Mount Calvary, Herman Brenner (Marie Pierquet) of Mount Calvary and Peter Brenner (Cindy) of Mount Calvary. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Holyland Parish – Holy Cross (308 County Rd W, Mt Calvary, WI 53057).
