He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wichman and LaNeice Wichman (Evans); his wife Jean Ruby; his grandson Joshua Hoefler; his brothers, Don Wichman (Barb), Evan "Bud" Wichman (Beverly) and Eugene Wichman (Sue); and his siblings-in-law, Lawrence "Ike" Ruby (Gert), Marian Youngwirth (Harold), Virginia "Ginnie" Falk (Milton), George Ruby (Elizabeth), Ralph Ruby (Margaret), Laura Krause (Wayne "Buzz"), Lucille "Punky" Kinderman (LeRoy "Babe") and Irene "Skeeter" Johnson (Chuck).

He is survived by: his children, Amy Hoefler (Al Kalies), Tod Wichman (Angela), Mark Wichman (Kelly) and Greg Wichman (Sue Linzmeyer); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn Holzschuh (Colton), Victoria Yando, Savannah Wichman, Lauren Wichman, Brexton Flynn, Erin Wichman, Ruby Wichman and Evan Wichman; his great grandchildren, Emery Holzschuh and Norah Holzschuh; and his siblings, Mike Wichman (Judy), Mary Nemecek (Joe) and Pat Van Oss (Jim). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
