Bridgette M. Sandstrom Obituary

Bridgette Sandstrom, 60, of Mukwonago, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly on August 10, 2026, leaving behind a family and community of friends and coworkers that loved her deeply and will feel her absence in countless ways.

Bridgette was the beloved wife of Mary Sandstrom and a lovingly devoted parent to Jesse Erikson Sandstrom, Morgan Anastasia Sandstrom, and Alexander Logan Sandstrom, Step-Parent to Steven and Michael Berg, and a cherished in-law to Breonna Sandstrom and Sherry Berg. She was a proud "Gramby" to Elliot, Josephine, Greyson, Conner, and Jameson—roles she held very close to her heart.

Bridgette worked as a semi-truck driver for Kroger, but her life was so much more than her work. She loved sailing, ren-faire, spending time with friends, concerts, traveling, camping, and especially trips to Hawaii with her wife. More than anything, she loved quality time with the people she loved. She had a way of making ordinary moments matter simply because she was there.

She was generous in a way that cannot be taught. If someone she loved truly needed her, Bridgette would drop whatever she was doing and show up. She loved fiercely, gave freely, and made sure the people around her knew they mattered.

Bridgette was also a woman of faith. Her Catholic faith and her relationship with God were an important part of shaping who she was, and we trust that she is now held in God's loving arms.

Bridgette lived as herself—with courage, authenticity, and a love for life that could not be diminished. She was an amazing person, and the people who loved her knew the woman she was and celebrated her for exactly that. Her life was a testament to the importance of being seen, known, and loved for who you truly are.

Her death was sudden, and there are no words adequate for the size of the loss. We were not prepared to say goodbye. But we were so blessed to love her, and she was blessed to be surrounded by people who loved her deeply.

The greatest thing we hope people remember about Bridgette is not simply how she died, but how she lived. She loved her life.

She loved her wife. She loved her children. She loved her grandchildren. She loved her family, her adventures, the water, the road, the music, the camping trips, Hawaii, and the countless little moments that made a life worth living.

And she was profoundly loved.

She will be carried forward in the stories we tell, the places we return to, the traditions we keep, and in every moment when we find ourselves wishing we could call her, see her, or hear her voice one more time.

Bridgette is survived by her wife, Mary; her children, Jesse, Morgan, and Zander and step children Steven and Michael Berg; her daughter-in-laws, Bree and Sherry; her grandchildren, Elliot, Josephine, Greyson, Conner, and Jameson; Sister Jennifer and countless family members and friends whose lives were made better by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Sandstrom and her sister Judy.

May God welcome Bridgette home safely and peacefully and may the love she gave so freely to everyone she knew remain with all of us who were fortunate enough to receive it.
