Douglas H. Vollmer Obituary
Of Mukwonago, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025 at the age of 74. He is the loving father of Michael (Carrie) Vollmer, Jennifer (Justin) Stigler, Paul Vollmer, and Lori Vollmer; proud grandpa of Peyton Stigler; brother of Karen (Richard) Pearson. He is further survived by his partner Margaret Marshall. Doug was preceded in death by his wife Kari A. Vollmer and parents Roy and Lila Vollmer.
Doug was born and raised in Mukwonago, where he built his life and remained until his passing. Deeply rooted in his hometown, he cherished the community around him and the simple joys it offered. A devoted grandfather, he found his greatest happiness in time spent with his family, especially his grandchild, Peyton. Doug had a lifelong love for the outdoors, often found fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying nature. His passion for athletics carried through his entire life—he was active, energetic, and heavily involved in sports, even competing at the college level. His spirit, warmth, and dedication to both family and the outdoors will be remembered by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home (930 Main St. Mukwonago) from 3:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.
