Gertrude P. Timm Obituary
Gertrude Pauline (Gearl) Timm "Gertie" was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on December 15, 2022. She was born in the family home on a snowy evening on January 7, 1929 to John and Bertha Gearl in Suring, Wisconsin. She attended and graduated from Suring High School and went on to marry her husband Gilbert (Gilly) on December 10, 1949.Gertie led a long and blessed life. She had a sharp sense of humor and quick wit. She enjoyed reading, baking, playing cards and playing bingo in her retirement years. She loved visiting with friends whether in person or chatting for long periods on phone calls. Her greatest joy in the last two years was visits from her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Gertie was always helping someone in any way she could. If someone had a need, She was right there to generously lend from what she had.
Gertie was a woman of strong faith. She raised her family in and with the church. She taught anyone who would listen to know the great importance of knowing Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. She was always active in whatever church she belonged. For the last 25 years she was a member at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Waterford, WI. She joyfully attended services regularly while her health allowed. Gertie loved being an active member of the Ladies Aide Group and also the Seniors Group. As her health declined, she was blessed to have the Pastors, as well as, several church members visit her at home. She clung tightly to the knowledge of eternity with her loved ones who had gone before her and the Heavenly Father.
Gertie was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert Timm, her parents John and Bertha Gearl, and all of her siblings. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ronald Timm, her granddaughter, Lindsay Timm and most recently her daughter, Leah Tijerina. Gertie is survived by her two daughters, LuAnn (David) Gorichanaz and Karen (Ron) Euer. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Andrew (Kelly) Gorichanaz, Jamie Tijerina, Rachel (Israel) Aviles, Joseph (Heather) Tijerina, Aaron Timm, Samantha Timm, Joshua Timm, Nick Timm, Kristine (Anthony) Scardina, Timothy (Catie) Euer. And Son- in Law Eddie Tijerina. She is further survived by 9 great grandchildren and many loving friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022 at the Schmidt & Bartelt Funeral Home in Mukwonago from 10:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 12:00 NOON. Private family burial at Highland Memorial Park.
