John J. Ramos Obituary
John J. Ramos, 70, of Mukwonago died Monday, December 22, 2025, in his home surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 25, 1955, in Cleveland, OH, to Ramon and the late Bernice Johnson Ramos and grew up in Bayamon, Puerto Rico.
In addition to Cindy Luker, the love of his life of 18 years, John is survived by daughters Janine Ramos of San Diego, CA, and Keri (Kyle) Ramos McIntyre of Marble Falls, TX; stepson Michael Bell and grandchildren Trinity and Anthony Bell, all of Mukwonago. Also left to cherish his memory are his brothers Ralph, Ramon Jr., and Richard Ramos, as well as Cindy's family who welcomed John in NY; Daniel Luker, Richard and Diane Stafford, and Richard and Tammy Way and their families.
John joined the Army at the age of 17 and spent time in Vietnam. He completed his career after Desert Storm at the rank of Master Sergeant after 28 years. He also worked for Veterans Affairs in San Diego, CA, Sioux Falls, SD, and Milwaukee, WI until he retired after 35 years of Federal Service in 2013.
John met and fell in love with Cindy while working at Milwaukee VA. They quickly became friends and developed a relationship. They then purchased a house in Mukwonago where with great joy they worked together on the remodel, raised the grandkids, and completed the projects that Cindy came up with. They enjoyed going for motorcycle rides, out for lunch, dancing, watching movies, and just simply being together. They shared a special bond that grew each day into a love that surely transcends beyond this earthly life. They were grateful for those 18 years they had together and Cindy will always treasure the love John had for her, her son, and their grandkids.
John loved classic rock and spent hours sitting in his garage or doing something around the yard listening to the music. He also enjoyed sci-fi and military movies, Fox news, and working on the next project that Cindy came up with…usually before he finished the current one.
A man who loved his family, John was extremely proud of his daughters and their accomplishments. He also provided Michael with the love and support of a father when he needed it most while helping him to make positive changes in his life. He adored his beloved grandchildren and wanted to see them grow up into the wonderful adults he knew they would become.
An amazing man who would help anyone if they asked, John was always supportive, always loving, always a shoulder to cry on or to take the blame, but most of all John was a man of integrity, honor, loyalty and love. He will be missed dearly.
Visitation will be at 1PM, followed by a memorial service at 2PM on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Brooklife Church in Mukwonago (857 S. Rochester St).
