Joyce A. Grinwald Obituary
Joyce Ann (Fetzer) Grinwald, 90, of Mukwonago, WI (formerly Yellville, AR) passed in peace November 9, 2023 at Brolen Meadows Assisted Living Facility. Joyce was born September 3, 1933. She was the eldest daughter of Frank and Theresa Fetzer of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. She married Ken Grinwald September 5, 1953. She is survived by their children Eugene Grinwald (Wauwatosa, WI), Julie Carlsen (Waukesha, WI), Nancy Sellman (Minneapolis, MN), Janette Jamel (Milwaukee, WI) and Tracy Poje (Mark) (Mukwonago, WI). Grandchildren: Casey Carlsen, Christopher Carlsen, Stephanie Johnson, Michael Jamel, Jessica Jamel, Elizabeth Poje, Katherine Poje, Victoria Poje and Cole Poje, 4 great grandchildren, and her siblings Sandi Werth (Gary) and Dennis Fetzer. Mrs. Grinwald was predeceased by her husband Ken Grinwald and by siblings: Ruth Schroeder (Ray), Carol Usher (Greg) and Bob Fetzer (Karen).
Joyce and her husband Ken moved to Arkansas in the 90's after his retirement. She was active in the Lakeway Fire Department Auxiliary and was an avid seamstress who won several first-place ribbons from the Marion County Fair. More recently she enjoyed cross word games, adult coloring books and was well renowned for the many puzzles she put together that now pepper the walls at Brolen Meadows.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 30 at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church 830 E. Veteran's Way, Mukwonago, WI followed by a Celebration of Life at the St. James Activity Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Brighton Hospice.
