Kathleen A. Rehl Obituary
Of Mukwonago, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side at the age of 79. She is the loving mother of Eric (Sarah) Rehl and Aaron (Jennifer) Rehl, proud grandmother of Samuel and Benjamin, and Smyth and Beckham. She is further survived by her dear sister Janet Seeger, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Elizabeth Seeger, and her sister Sandra Faulls.
After raising her family, Kathy returned to school at the age of 40 and completed her bachelor's degree in education. She then spent 15 years as a teacher, shaping young minds in the Milwaukee Public School system. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Mukwonago and taught Sunday school. She had many dear friends at Mount Olive and treasured their group meetings, outings and friendship. She also taught swimming lessons at the YMCA, and she loved to read.
An avid traveler, Kathy enjoyed many European trips and outings with her longtime friends Lynn and Barb; and she treasured the beach vacations to Siesta Key, FL with her sons and their families. Kathy loved her dogs Ollie and Bella, but most of all she loved being a grandmother. Her grandkids played football, baseball, basketball, gymnastics and soccer, and she rarely missed a game, school musical, or Grandparents luncheon. A theater enthusiast, she often took her grandkids to First Stage in Milwaukee. She was tickled to be known to her grandkid's cousins and friends as "Grandma Kathy".
Visitation will be held from 10AM until the time of the funeral service at 12:00PM on Monday, September 8th at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, 930 Main Street, Mukwonago, WI 53149. Private burial will take place at Highland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Hoovers Hause All Dog Rescue in North Prairie.
