Thomas J. Surges Sr. Obituary
Thomas J. Surges Sr., of Mukwonago WI, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2025 at the age of 75. Tom was born on February 24, 1950 in Milwaukee, WI to Charles and Sylvia Surges. He married Lois on October 14, 1978 at St. John's Cathedral.
Surviving Tom is his wife Lois, his children Tom Jr. (Mirta) Surges and Michelle (Brian) Hofmann. His grandchildren Maggie, Angelina, Anthony, Valentina, Ashlie, Kevin, and Sabrina. His siblings: Suzanne Gizella, Michael (Judy) Surges, Richard (Melissa) Surges, Jeanne (Paul) Richlen, and MaryBeth (George) Panos. Along with many nieces, nephews, friends, and family members of whom he loved and cherished.
Tom was a full-time firefighter / EMT on the Franklin Fire Department for 37 years, an Airman / Fire Protection Specialist in the United States Air Force, a member of the Phelps Historical Museum, and a member of the North / South Twin Lake Association.
Tom was the rock of our family, our leader, our mentor, the man who would have a story for everything and who could teach you something new every single day.
He took his final walk down his pier, on the lake he loved so very much, up north.
He will forever and always be the greatest joy of our lives…what we would give, for just one more day. We will honor and love you for all our days ahead, until we meet again.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025 at St. James The Less Catholic Church (830 E. Veteran's Way, Mukwonago) from 3:00 PM until 5:30 PM. The Funeral Mass will follow at 6:00 PM. After the Funeral Mass, Military Honors will held outside the church.
