He was predeceased by: his parents, Beulah McCann (Satorius) and Alvin Thies Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Gina Skolaski (Thies), Sarah Thies and Jeff Thies; his grandson Corbin Skolaski; and his sisters, Chyra Trost and Dawneanne Riker.
