He was predeceased by : his grandfather Chris Hansen. He is survived by : his parents, Scott Hansen and Linda Hansen (Craig); his wife Kim Kneepkens; his parents-in-law, Bob and Sue Kneepkens; his grandparents, Gene, Betty Craig and Nancy Hansen; his brothers, Brian Hansen (Amber) and Eric Hansen (McKenzie); and his nieces and nephews, Cole, Walter, Jane, Molly and Alice Hansen. He is also survived by relatives and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in David's name to be donated to various organizations he was passionate about.
