We announce the death of Douglas E. Akey (Neenah, Wisconsin), who passed away on July 7, 2026, at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Akey and June Akey (Forsmark); his son Doug Akey, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Robert Martin. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Martin; his daughter Sandi Iotte (John); his grandchildren, Emily (Jordan), Jake (Ashley), Macy and Crystal Cook; his great grandchildren, Max and Julia; his stepdaughters, Kelly Briesch (Jason) and Kim Keinonen (Aaron Weinke); his brother Dean Akey (Louise); and his siblings-in-law, Barb Potaczek (Wally), Bill Martin (Patti) and Sandy Kelderman (Hank). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
