He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbur H. Steenis and Lillian Eve Steenis (Guckenberg); his grandparents, Bertha Sturm (Guckenberg), Peter Guckenberg, Jake Sturm and Minnie Steenis; his brothers, Peter Steenis and Bob Steenis; his siblings-in-law, Judy, Ron and Janice Diedrick; his uncle Peter; his aunt Evie Guckenberg (Schuh); Elmer, Martha Diedrick (Gloudemans), Peter, Mary Diedrick (Nabbefeld), Henry, Harriet Gloudemans (Vosters) and Elizabeth (Molitor-Schumacher).
He is survived by: his son-in-law Kevin; his friend Terri Wick; his wife Char; his children, Paul (Kevin), Laurie and Mark (Heather); his grandchildren, Jacob, Ashley Kositzke (Josh) and Dylan; his great grandchildren, Harlow and Camden; his siblings-in-law, Barb Steenis, Richard Diedrick (Yang), JoAnne Schuler (Tom), Terri Diedrick and Larry Diedrick; his godchildren, Tom Guckenberg (Marsha), David Schedgick and Angie Jungwirth (Don); Heather. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church (1617 W Pine St, Appleton, WI 54914). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
