She was predeceased by: her parents, Gordon Thiex and Barbara Thiex; her husband Guyland; her son Dean; and her sister Nancy Jacobson.
She is survived by: her children, Tim VanAsten (Diane), Jody VanAsten and Kalyn Olson (Brett); her grandchildren, Tyler, Bree, Johanna, Jonathan, Jennifer, Jacob, Kane, Claire, Taryn and Tanner; her siblings, Peter Thiex (Nancy) and Lucine Rieckman (Randy); her daughter-in-law Lori VanAsten; her foster son Bruce Leitzke (Shiela Kahler); and her close friend Dale Wiechman. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
