She was predeceased by: her parents, Norvald Smith and Elsie Smith (Hammel); her siblings, Doug and Connie (Jerry); and her children, Kristy and Kelly (Jean).
She is survived by: her children, Kim and Kyle (Linda); her son-in-law Tim; her sister-in-law Sami; her grandchildren, Mandie, Kallie, Chelsie (Chris), DJ (Vanessa), Stephanie (Michael), Courtney, Kelsey, Austin and Jessie; and her great grandchildren, Lakota, Lola, Layla, Flynn, Adelynn, Elijah, Declan, Silas, Brooks, Bennett, Tate, Cowen and Stella.
The family suggests donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in lieu of flowers. A memorial fund (https://raise.stjude.org) has been established in Joan's name.
