He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Smith and Susanne Martinson (Piepenbrink); his stepparents, William Martinson and Katherine Smith; and his sons, Austin and Adam Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his daughters, Alyssa Belton (Jordan) and Anca Smith; his grandchildren, Levi, Evelyn, Lillian and Elsie; his brothers, Mark (Lois Ann), Matthew (Robyn) and Merritt Smith; and his sister-in-law Carol Hentschel (John). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
