He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Jacobsen and Ruth Jacobsen (Fowler); his wife Nancy Buchanon of Appleton; and his foster daughter Lydia Bitsoi. He is survived by: his children-in-law, Michael J. Schlafer and Shelley Schlafer of Berlin; his grandchildren, Michael S. Schlafer of Oshkosh, Matthew J. Schlafer of Berlin and Stephanie Green of Arizona; and his great grandchild Elizabeth.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (528 2nd St, Menasha, WI 54952). A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha.
