With sadness, we share the passing of Shirley J. Payne (Neenah, Wisconsin). Shirley, born on April 21, 1932, passed away on October 2, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Gawlick and Cora Gawlick (Kraus); her husband Jerold Payne; her brother Stanley Jr.; her sons, Steven and Jeffrey Payne; her grandchildren, Jason Payne, Lindsey and Michael Murphy; and her siblings, Leroy, Jerome Gawlick (Joan), Harry'Buddy' Procknow Jr. (Marcella), Jeanette Anderson (Louis "Sonny") and Evie Bayer (George).
She is survived by: her daughters, Kathy Murphy (Chuck Thompson), Nancy Payne (Shawn Smith) and Michelle Blocker (Tony); her daughter-in-law Debbie Payne; her grandchildren, Ryan Payne, Jena, Justin Murphy (Cassie), Anthony (Jen), Logan Blocker (Karlee), Giovanni (Caitlyn) and Erin Perillo; her great grandchildren, Ayden, Jameson, Ava Payne, Sage, Remi, Baby Murphy, Lorenzo, Vincent, Cecilia Perillo, Archer, Paxton, Josie and Violet Blocker; her great great grandchild Shalom Payne; her sister-in-law Judy Payne; her close friends, Larry, Sharon Krause, Dean and Jody Lenhardt; and her caregivers, House of Grace, Mike, Ali, Jean, RuthAnn, Rosie, Breanna, Riley, Tootie, Kelsey, Todd, Emily of Bluestone, Shaelynn, Maria, Kori and Chaplain Kelly.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kessler Fahrenkrug Funeral Home (304 S Commercial St, Neenah, WI 54956). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Shirley's name.
