He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Meier and Marie Meier (Boldt); his wife Jean Maureen Pettit of Mary's Catholic Church; his sister Arlene Gilinski; his parents-in-law, Norbert and Agnes Pettit; and his brothers-in-law, James Pettit and Dick Gilinski.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Schoengarth (Mike), Sharon Wilsmann (Bob) of Neillsville and Steve Meier (Lisa) of Marshfield; his grandchildren, Casey Schoengarth (Kristi), Katie Schoengarth, Rebecca Ciezki (Jeff), Timothy Wilsmann (Terrie), Stephanie Donnerbauer (Jordan), Alexandra Purkapile (Ethan), Katrina Krueger and Nicholas D'Acquisto; and his brothers-in-law, John Pettit (Janie) of Neillsville and Dave Pettit (Linda) of Morton, Illinois. He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
