He was predeceased by: his father William Montag. He is survived by: his mother Betty Montag (Krueger); his wife Karen Montag; his children, Jeremiah Montag (Niki) and Melinda Carmody (Brandon); his grandchildren, Connor and Alanna; and his siblings, Vicki Zellner (Lonnie), Jerry Montag (Lynn) and Jim Montag (Jan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (711 Prospect Ave, Nekoosa, WI 54457). A memorial service was held on Saturday, March 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
