He was predeceased by: his father George Lawrence Howell; his grandmother Stella Hardy; his mother Mae Hardy; and his siblings, Lillian Carpenter, George Howell, Charles Howell, Helen Farinash, Kenneth Ashcraft and James Gordon Hardy.
He is survived by: his daughter Stephanie Woods (Shawn) of Nekoosa; and his brothers, Sidney Hardy of Braddock and Thomas Ford of Alabama. He is also survived by three grandsons, three granddaughters.
