He is survived by: his son William Boivin, Jr. (Anita); his grandchildren, Alexi, Lily, William, III, Perseus, Jack and Bella; his siblings, Raphael Boivin, Dale Boivin (Nancy) and Wendell Boivin; and the mother of his children Sue. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
