He is survived by: his son Todd Ruppenthal; his grandchildren, Kyle Kutschenreuter and Kaycie Peck (Kutschenreuter); his great grandchildren, Sophia, Owen, Frederick and Theodore; and his sister-in-law Susan Rodman (Pasewald). He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
