He was predeceased by : his parents, John Sr. Shirley and Roma Jean Shirley (Kimmel); his sister Brenda Johnson; and his daughter Deborah Billington. He is survived by : his spouse Shirley Biesterfeld; his children, John III Shirley (Quinn) and Jenny Virch (Todd); and his grandchildren, Christopher (Jen), Jessica (Dylan), Sara Virch (Evan), Samuel (Tessa), Mary Shirley, Christina Shirley and Joe Harjung. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren; one great great grandson; other relatives and friends.
