It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Mlakar (New Berlin, Wisconsin), born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on March 11, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Mlakar Sr. and Beatrice; and his siblings, John Mlakar and MaryAnn Kalamarz. He is survived by: his wife Rosemarie Mlakar; his children, Gary (Fumiko), Kathleen Plechaty (Steve) and Karen Prudent (Jim); his grandchildren, Emily, Thomas Mlakar, Daniel Plechaty (Kristine), Gregory Plechaty (Lisa), Laura Plechaty, Haley, Kate and Ethan Prudent; and his great grandchild Avery Plechaty.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Apostles Church or to the newly established Steamfitters Local 601 Scholarship Fund.
