He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Sr. Schmidt and Stella Schmidt (Kludy); and his sisters, Gerry Wickhart (Roy), Mary Park (Ken), Betty Barrick (Sid) and Edna Mae Schmidt.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathryn Wakeling (Richard) of Avon, Indiana.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
