He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Heins and Marvel Heins (Hanson); and his brother Roger Heins. He is survived by: his wife Rachel Heins (Heuser); his children, Kim Dobberstein (Robert) and Dale Heins (Suzanne (Koelling)); his sister Delores Potos (Heins); his grandchildren, Ryan Dobberstein, Mariel Lanier (Heins), Erika Ticcioni (Dobberstein), Rick, John Dobberstein, Emily (Canfield), Julia Fleming (Heins), Jack, Cody Dobberstein, Melissa (Stevenson) and Michael Heins; and his great grandchildren, Everett Lanier, Violette Lanier, Grace Ticcioni, Harper Dobberstein, Cora Lanier and Archer Dobberstein.
