He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Borda and Marina Borda; his brother Pablo Borda Jr.; his parents-in-law, James V. Crawford and Fern; and his siblings-in-law, Connie Geary (Jim), Katie Paul (Bob), Jerry Crawford, Daniel Crawford and James R. Crawford.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Borda; his sister Maria Wiesner (Larry); his children, Luis Borda (Marybeth) and Lisa Borda-Rivera (Octavio Rivera, Jr.); his grandsons, Jorge Vasquez-Borda, Jacob Borda, Carsen Daugherty and Roman Borda; his siblings-in-law, Genevieve "Genny" Borda, Terry Crawford (Barbara Muraco), Nancy Wozniak, Debbie Tariq (Terry) and Julianne Harris; and his half-siblings, Maximo Borda Dupry and Juana Eliana Borda Dupry. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Luis' name to the IPF Foundation, an independent nonprofit solely focused on accelerating research for treatments and cures for Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis.
