With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Richard Dekarske of New Berlin, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Thomas departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Thomas may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Thomas leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Walter Dekarske and Marian Hazel Dekarske; and his brother William Dekarske (Wendy) of Waterloo, IA.. He is survived by: his wife Sherilyn Ann Dekarske; and his siblings, Marilyn Gibbs (John) of Chesterfield, MO and Robert Dekarske (Sally) of Savannah, GA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21st 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:45 PM at the Krause Funeral Home (12401 W National Ave, New Berlin, WI 53151). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 21st 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, to HAWS (Human Animal Welfare Society) of Waukesha or to a charity of your choice.
