He was predeceased by: his parents, Amos Andrew Frederick Engel and Laverne Gladys Engel (Dreier); his sons, Michael and Bradley; and his siblings, Gerald and Judith.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Marie Babino of Mary's Catholic Church; his children, Annette Wilken (Steven), Cynthia Philippon, Lisa Swinford (Chad), Renee Peebles (Tracy), Tara Beasley (Joseph), Craig Engel (Amanda) and Curt Engel; his daughter-in-law Stacy Engel; and his sister Diane Mier (David). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
