He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Wayne Smith and Arvilla Mae Smith (Burton); his son Jaime Smith; his daughter-in-law Heather Smith; his in-laws, George and Esther Obermueller; and his brother-in-law Ken Hansen.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Smith; his children, Kyle Smith, Kaylani Rae Smith and Michelle Hansen; his granddaughters, JayLynn Rae and Aria Jai Smith; his siblings, Ethelyn Schone (Doug), Karen Hansen, Alexa Dean (Jimmy), Stacy Smith-Link (Jody), Terry Jahn (Rod), Mark Smith, Alan Smith, Alicia Swearingen (Obermueller) and Ted Smith; Bobbi Jo Ogren and Kendall Obermueller (Ardie). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (341 N Shore Dr, New Richmond, WI 54017). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
His contributions to the community earned him the distinction of Osceola Business Man of the Year.
