He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Durand and Marina Durand (Meyer); his son David; and his siblings, Margie Block and Don Durand (Norma Kay).
He is survived by: his wife Karla Jackson; his children, Dale, Pete (Lori), Debbie Green, Pam Sorum (Michael Stevens), Tricia Bonnes (Greg), Diane Hickey (Sean) and Darren (Heidi); and his siblings, Delores Durand, Bernie (Marlys) and Tony (Karen). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
