He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Bauer and Elaine Bauer of Mayville, WI.; his in-laws, Charles and Barbara Spaeth; and his brother-in-law Mike Mundt.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Spaeth-Bauer; his children, Stephanie Graf (Justin), Greg Bauer and Andrew Bauer (Emily); his grandchildren, Brock and Jase Nottling; his children, Magnolia, Wells Graf, Ellie and Charles Bauer; his siblings, Sandy McKee (Rich), Kay Butzke (Dan) and Ken Bauer (Val); and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Lindbeck (Keith), Cheryl Starling (JP) and Brenda Mundt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and cherished friends.
