Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her father William Schwefel; her husband Richard Schroeder; her mother Evelyn Zinzow Schwefel (Zinzow); and her brother Jon Schwefel. She is survived by: her children, Pat Schroeder and Tom Schroeder; and her sister Eve Lynn Keith. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First English Lutheran Church (326 E North St, Appleton, WI 54911). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
