He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Osman Deronja and Kimeta Deronja; his son Adrian Henry Deronja; his brothers, Chaslav Deronja and Emira; his nephew Vedran Deronja; and his former wife Kathleen.

He is survived by: his daughter Leah Esther; his nieces, Kimeta Ljeljak of Mostar, Bosnia, Herzegovina and Svjetlana Bricic of Zebulon; and his brother-in-law Roman Y. Tylman.
