He was predeceased by : his parents, Roman Baker and Coyla Baker (Mead); his sister LuAnn L. Baker; his aunt Gwen Mead; his parents-in-law, Herman and Velma Steger (Shady); and his brother-in-law Ricky Steger.

He is survived by : his wife Julie Baker; his daughters, Shelly Kottke (Greg), Melissa "Missy" Baker, Mickey Oechsner (Nate) and Bobbie Immel (Cory); his grandchildren, Megan Kottke, Marissa Kottke, Miranda Kottke, Natalie Oechsner and Evan Immel; his siblings, Stephen J. Baker and Mary K. Baker; and his siblings-in-law, Debbie Schneider (Rick), Terry Backhaus (Dan), Cheryl Meisenheimer, Audrey Hoover, Mike Steger (Jackie) and Herman Steger (Tuttie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
