He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Nitschke and Orin Nitschke; and his nephew David Dewitz. He is survived by: his sons, Charles N. Nitschke, Cory P. Nitschke (Tanya Lehman) and Christopher S. Nitschke (Becky); his granddaughters, Autumn, Aubrey and Ally; his siblings, Virginia Dewitz, Darlene Wischnefski (Wayne), Barbara Post, Jane Galligan, Edward (Sherry Nitschke) and Orin Nitschke, Jr. (Mary); and his friend Chuck Balthazor (Barbara Forbes).
In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation which will be given to a veteran's organization in his honor.
