Carol L. Koblitz Obituary
Carol Jean Koblitz, formerly of Oconomowoc and Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, passed away at The Meadows in Fall River, Wisconsin, on September 28, 2026.
Carol was born December 8, 1941, to Harold and Marcella (Poetter) Mulligan. She married David Koblitz on November 17, 1962, in Maryland.
Carol spent many years as an educator and retired from Horicon High School in 2007. After retirement, she continued to give her time to others through volunteer tutoring and activities at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oconomowoc, where she was a member. She also enjoyed traveling with friends during her retirement years.
Carol is survived by her children, John (Kim) Koblitz of Edwardsburg, Michigan; Anne De Roo of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; Paul (Ashly) Koblitz of Bardstown, Kentucky; and Sarah (James) Jordan of Caledonia, Wisconsin and eighteen grandchildren.
She is further survived by her brothers, David (Carol) Mulligan, Eugene (Joyce) Mulligan, Tom (Carol) Mulligan, Wayne Mulligan, Steve (Linda) Mulligan, and Warren Mulligan; sisters, Marlene (Roger) Plank, JoAnne Mulligan, and Susan Mulligan; brother-in-law Jerry (Marilyn) Koblitz; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, David: her parents; her brother William Mulligan; and her sisters Betty Mohr and Mary Domann.
Visitation will be held Monday October 5, 2026, from 9:30am until time of service at 10:30am at St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1650 Brown St., Oconomowoc, Wisconsin. Burial will follow at La Belle Cemetery in Oconomowoc, with a luncheon at the church afterward.
Memorials may be made to Lakeside Lutheran High School in Lake Mills, Wisconsin.
