He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Stendel and Helena Stendel; and his brothers, Alfred Stendel, Ralph Stendel and Donald Stendel.

He is survived by : his wife Beverly "Bev" Stendel of Oconomowoc; his children, Cyril Stendel of East Troy, Sally Leis (Edward) of Watertown and Karen Doyle (Patrick) of Lake Zurich, IL; his grandchildren, Jacob Stendel (Tiffany), Heather Stendel, Nate Leis, Becca Leis and Sean Doyle; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Stendel. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (N572 Co Rd R, Watertown, WI 53098). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Concord Cemetery (6451 County Rd E, Oconomowoc, WI 53066).
