He is survived by: his son Ben McHalsky; his siblings, Margaret McKee (Rick) and Joe; his close friend Julee McHalsky; his extended family, Maureen Spuhler and John Morris; and his close friends, Ken Schmidt and Harry.
He succumbed to Parkinson's disease after several years of declining health.
